You Are Aware Of Mini Eggs
Well, we are all recovering from the holidays and looking ahead. Now that the hubbub has died down, are you ready to start enjoying the magic of the Easter season? Yes, you are, starting January 1.
This illuminating press release arrived a few weeks ago, with a clear message for retailers: unless you want to crash and burn this Spring, buy lots of Cadbury products and put ‘em up front. According to the PR, you are almost certainly “aware of Mini Eggs”; you are also getting away from chocolate confectionery, but the Creme Egg will bring you back. My favorite quote:
“For independent retailers, getting Creme Egg right is absolutely essential. With TV advertising on air from January 1st, they should make sure that there is good availability and visability of Creme Egg within a high footfall area of their store right from the beginning of the year.”
Awesome. I am so sick of running to the corner store on January 2 only to find they have no Creme Eggs. Along with Mini Eggs, they signal the start of the season…apparently. Personally, seeing seasonal products for sale three months early makes me think of social conditioning, but I guess for some people it’s just Christmas, Easter. Find the whole release here.
